are we talking about the rfid chips?
if you are talking about the chips and not the tracking system that we are field testing at the moment then the answer would be .If you put a chip into the frame of your bike and your bike gets stolen, the bike would have to be found , recovered or handed to the police or one of the shops that have a scanner. These chips are not an active chip , they are only active when a scanner is past over them or near them. the idea behind the chips is. You have tamper proof sticker on the bike telling you that the bike is chipped and the chip or chips are inside the frame or components. You and your bike details will be on the database in case the bike is stolen, if recovered then we can tell it is yours and get the bike back to you.9 out of 10 stolen bikes are sold on, if they end up at a bike shop that is trying to help stop crime they will have a scanner and report this bike as being stolen. hope this helps , if you have any more questions give me a call direct if you wish 0845 619 7400 cheers simon About Us
